I am co-owner of Laser Image with my husband, Richard Smith. We’ve worked together in the electronic printing business since 1978. In 1987 we drew on our previous experience to create the Laser Image concept of corporate printing and service. The rest is history!
When not at the helm of Laser Image, I am an avid promoter of the Carrboro Farmers’ Market. I served as the Special Events Coordinator for the market and managed the Wednesday and Saturday markets for several years.
I’m also known around Laser Image as our gourmet cook. I love to experiment with all those great veggies from the Farmer’s Market!
I grew up in the printing business, opening my first print shop in 1978. I’ve participated in every step of the technical revolution that led to the modern all-digital plant we run today.
When not working to help my clients, I enjoy bicycling, scuba diving, sailing, reading and doing anthropological research.
My wife, Kelly Clark, has been my business partner throughout my printing career. Prior to printing, I worked as a cultural anthropologist specializing in Latin America. My current research project is in the Philippines.
I’m another one of those “x%vxdej Northerners” who made the move to North Carolina in search of warmer weather. I grew up in western New York, where there are two seasons: winter and construction. And neither is pleasant.
I went to Oswego State University, on the beautiful shores of Lake Ontario (which Kodak has so thoughtfully polluted over the years). Oswego is known for its communications department that has produced the likes of Jerry Seinfeld, Al Roker, Steve Levy and Linda Cohn from ESPN, as well as its perennial powerhouse Division 3 hockey team. I studied Business and was a fierce broomball player – not the best the University has produced, but I had fun doing it.
Growing up in western New York, your main love every fall is the Buffalo Bills, I am a devoted fan of the Bills, and of football in general. You’ll always know where my TV is tuned every Saturday and Sunday.
I am married to a fellow Oswego alum, Danielle, whom I love dearly. We have a son and a daughter. We met in the romantic setting of a college bar – one of the nice ones where your shoes stick to the floor and you’re drinking out of the same plastic cups that they used the night before. Now that’s romantic with a capital “R.”
I have 20 years experience in the printing industry ranging from production management to sales. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Printing Production Management. I enjoy the sales side of the business because it’s fast-paced, my customers are great, interesting people, and every job is something new.
I live in Garner with my wife Sherry and two children, Kate and Jackson. When I’m not talking printing with my customers, I’m usually spending time with my family, coaching youth baseball or playing softball.
Call me to help plan your next project.
Hi I’m Beth, a 22-year sales professional specializing in printing and marketing. Most recently I spent three years in the Raleigh area in marketing and lead development for an accounting firm, which helped me expand my sales experience and contacts. I joined Laser Image Printing & Marketing in January 2012 and I am very happy to be returning to my roots – the art of pleasing customers with the perfect print job.
Being born and raised in Durham, NC, gives me that hometown knowledge, spirit and a Carolina state of mind. When I’m not working, I enjoy attending the various games of my niece and nephew, shopping at tag sales and gardening with my folks. Summer weekends are spent sitting on the beach reading a book in the morning and jet skiing down the inter-coastal waterway in the afternoon.
I look forward to helping you make your next projects shine!
Hi, I am Candy. I have 18 years of consultative selling experience including 10 years in the ever-changing printing world. I love helping people and their companies find new and creative ways to express themselves through print media!
When I am not working I love to spend time with friends and family – especially cooking for them and creating new memories. I love my dog, Winnie, who likes to go on long walks, which keeps me in shape!
As a Raleigh native, I enjoy exploring our community and state’s wonderful resources. Some weekends I become a “tourist in my own city” exploring museums, or going on adventures whether on the coast, in the mountains or just hanging out in the good ole Triangle. Some of life’s greatest treasures are right in our own back yard. After all, there is no place like home!
I look forward to helping you put your ideas on paper (or vinyl, or cardstock, or plastic, or foam core, or labels, or . . . )!

Hi, I’m Mike Dickinson. After 7 years working in Prepress at my previous employer, I joined the Laser Image Customer Service team in October, 2007. I’ve enjoyed meeting and working with different clients on many and various projects.
I was born and raised in Wethersfield, Connecticut, a suburb of Hartford. When time for a College Education rolled around, I came south to warmer weather, and never looked back. I am a 2000 Graduate of Chowan University in Murfreesboro, NC with a Degree in Graphic Communications.
My interests include live music, Red Sox baseball, Patriots football, golfing, Raleigh nightlife, and vacationing at my parents house on Cape Cod, Massachusetts.
If you have any questions or concerns about your next project, please feel free to contact me. I am available and eager to help you in any way possible.

Hi, I’m Katie Beth. I am a current graphic design student at the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham. I’ve never been fully satisfied with a project until I can hold it in my hands, so it was exciting to finally get to be up close and personal with the whole process, design to print, when I started working at Laser Image in May of 2013.
I am the oldest of eight kids, and still spend a lot of time with my family. I can’t imagine not growing up in a big family. The word “boredom” has no meaning for me!
When I’m not at work or school you can find me at the gym, rock climbing, running, or catching a movie with friends and family. I also teach lifeguard classes at the YMCA.
I look forward to helping you get your next project from design to print.

I graduated from Chowan University in 2009 with a B.S. in Graphic Communication and a minor in Applied Business. After working in the print production department at a previous employer, I came to Laser Image back in July of 2010 as a bindery operator. Being in that position has helped me to further my knowledge on how a print job is produced. In March 2012 I accepted an opportunity to move into a Project Coordinator position.
I grew up in Northampton County, North Carolina, also referred to by my co-workers as “the sticks”. I enjoy returning back home to go deer hunting and to spend time with friends and family.
My wife, Brooks, and I were married in July of 2011 and live in Raleigh, NC. When not working or visiting family, we enjoy walking around the flea-market at the state fairgrounds and playing putt-putt golf.
I look forward to getting to know you and working with you on your next project.

Hey Y’all, Im Kayleigh
I’ve lived in North Carolina my whole life and I can’t get enough of this great state! From the Atlantic Ocean to the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains, I absolutely love it here!
I first became passionate about printing in high school were I took a graphic arts class, and since the first day I’ve been hooked. From there I learned the entire printing process, from start to finish, and the value of communication. It fascinates me to see, and be apart of, this process of transforming an idea into a visual product.
I attended Appalachian State University (Go Mountaineers!) where found my calling: Prepress. I enjoy solving problems and being able to show my creative side. Along with Prepress, I have two years of experience in wide format printing and screen-printing.
Other than my printing life, I love to be outdoors with my dog. I used to be the kid that you have to drag inside when it was time for dinner, even in the snow! I am also very crafty: painting, knitting, sewing, jewelry making, you name it, I do it!
Please call me or e-mail me if you have any questions when setting up your print projects
