Transforming a space – creatively

Hi everyone,

What does 3 + 1 + 53 equal? Not 57 as you might imagine.

What does 3 designers + 1 software program + 53 feet of wall equal? The most original wall art to grace a lobby that was ever imagined!

As you will see when you take a look at the action-packed video of our lobby transformation, there is a new product being offered at Laser Image that has the power to make your creativity come alive. I saw it happen myself when we asked our graphic design team to turn our lobby into a showcase of our wide format capabilities, including papering our walls with original artwork using HP WallArt designer software. The results went far beyond my expectation. Using a collaborative approach, incorporating imagination and storytelling, and utilizing numerous media on different substrates, surfaces and hardware they have created a room-size invitation to the limitless possibilities available for walls and windows everywhere.

Kayleigh Creech, Jess McMullen and Katie Beth Groover are our talented designers. Jarrod Moore, our wide format specialist, produced all of the pieces, and Shawn Gibbs, Laser Image’s operations manager, oversaw the project and was the lead installer of our newly papered space.

You can tap in to your creativity by checking out our video and by using our new customer tool, then we will complete your vision in print and provide installation support if you need it.

You have my personal invitation to visit Laser Image and see for yourself what a cool lobby we have, and to meet the creative individuals who can help transform your ideas into reality.

We can’t wait to see where your imagination takes you!

Sustain – it means so many things

Hi everyone,

On October 1, Laser Image will celebrate our 28th year in business. It’s not easy sustaining a small business for nearly 30 years. But with the support of our wonderful customers, the many fabulous people who have worked at Laser Image, and the encouragement of friends and family, we have sustained and continue to thrive. Many heartfelt thanks to all those who have helped Laser Image grow to a ripe old age … for a business!

Being in the printing industry, I’m mindful of our responsibility to provide a sustainable product. Richard’s blog post – Why is Apple purchasing woodlands? – tells the story of the technology giant investing in a program to conserve and protect forests and to sustain working forests. I hope you follow the link to the broader story, to learn more about paper as a renewable resource.

Laser Image focuses some of our resources to help sustain important organizations in our community. On September 25th, we will join others in honoring Ray Buchanan of Stop Hunger Now at the “Packaging Hope” celebration at the Duke Center for Performing Arts in Raleigh, NC. Ray has spent a large part of his life providing sustenance to those in need in the US and around the globe, and Stop Hunger Now gives all of us a way to participate in that effort through their meal-packaging events. Laser Image will join with area Rotary Clubs in January 2016 at the MLK Day Meal Packing Event – a day organized to bring together service clubs, businesses and individuals with the goal of packing 100,000 meals, for local consumption, before the day is done. Watch for further information on this event in future Notes from me.

To be a sustainable business you’ve got to keep it new – and Laser Image has new in a big way! New wide format presses that utilize a boat-load of substrates that give us a super range of applications for nearly every solution to your signage needs. Banners, backlit signage, window graphics, pole banners, posters, sidewalk graphics and sidewalk signs, indoor and outdoor wall graphics, table top graphics, window decals, CAD cut graphics, textile wall art. The list goes on! Think about your walls, windows, floors and doors – now turn them into well-designed advertisements, internal message boards or educational pieces. Laser Image is going to show you how to Come Alive with New Creativity so you can grow and sustain your business.
